Happy Birthday USA!

Today being the 4th of July, I started thinking about holidays and their meanings. I couldn't think of one all inclusive holiday out of the traditional celebrations that we celebrate. The closest I could think of was Thanksgiving and really not that all inclusive, because what do the Native Americans have to be thankful for? That we didn't completely kill them with small pox? I just think as we are watching fireworks and stuffing our faces with some mean bbq we should think about what we're really celebrating and think about those who maybe aren't included in the celebration and the meaning of the holiday.

Anyway, on a lighter note. I went to Target this morning to buy a laundry basket and walked out with a lamper, yes that's what I said, a lamper. A lamper, for your information, is a laundry basket hamper hybrid that is like an elongated laundry basket. I pretty much just bought it for the name, because it really made me happy to think that someone at the company that made it sat around and came up with the name Lamper. Now that's a company where I could work.
