Tom tom toms

I get on these kicks where I really want a certain trendy item that I secretly think is ugly, like uggs or Ray-ban Wayfarers. So my current obsession are Toms. I'm trying to decide if they're too "crunchy granola" for me. What do you think? I mean I'm all about the humanitarian aspect of them, but I just can't decide if they're so ugly they're cute, you know like troll dolls. And obvi I would get this really cute pair:

    I have a couple of friends who swear by Toms, so I think you should go for it. Plus I really like the pair you picked out.
