TWIMO Travels: Savannah, Beautiful and Delicious....

I recently took a trip to my love, Savannah, GA for my bestie and faithful TWIMO follower Alison's Hen Night (aka Bachelorette Party in British). Now this was my type of party. Spa, eating, and to bed by ten. This trip also made me remember how much I loved living in Savannah and to try and hold onto these memories I made Alison, even though it was her party I made her go to all my favorite memory lane eateries (I'm an only child, people. I have trouble sharing.) So here is an edible trip down the best (introspective and developmental) three years of my life that I spent in what I think is one of the most beautiful cities in America.

Delicious, huge, fresh salad at Screaming Mimi's

The cheapest lunch in the SAV. $2.50 slice with onion and pineapple. C'est magnifique!

Back in the Day Bakery. Voted Best Cupcakes in America by Ellen. True Story.

Red Velvet Cupcake. One thing I love about the South.

Chicken and waffle sliders at Rocks on the River

Fried Chicken, Waffles, Boursin cheese, Arugula, and pepper jelly.

My other man, Leopold. As in Leopold's Ice cream. Coffee chocolate chip. Sorry Ben... and Jerry.

Would you like some butter with that triffle?

While killing some time at Target last week with E, we discovered this amazing magazine cover. A lovely blue tinted hair Paula Deen holding an entire triffle while lounging by the pool, because why not eat an entire triffle while soaking up some rays? You're Paula Deen and you fry butter, so you can do what you want.

How the TWIMO magic happens. My photog skills. Check out Paula's shelf partner. A match made in heaven.

Etsy Wednesday Postponed...

Hello! Just got back from a mini holiday in Chattanooga to visit my family and their new puppy, who is super cute. Her name is Fern. Isn't that a great throwback to Charlotte's Web? Anyway I didn't have a chance to find my Etsy pick for Wednesday, so I will leave you with a picture from Savannah this spring at the Doggie Carnival (because yes, Savannah had one of these). Makes me miss all the crazies.

Some Savannah Randoms

I'm DONNNNNEEE with Fall Quarter. My last quarter before I begin thesis work. I was planning on working on thesis over break, but I have so much fun stuff (like going to Europe) planned that we'll see how that goes. Anyway for one of my classes this quarter we had to make a Thoughtless Acts Journal (http://www.thoughtlessacts.com/) based on a project that they did at IDEO (amazing group). Anyway a thoughtless act is something we do without thinking about in response to our environment (ie for women, putting your purse over your chair back at a restaurant). So I've spent the last quarter taking pictures of these acts as well as other random things I've seen around Savannah and here is one of my favorites that will hopefully put you in a Thanksgiving mood as well. This is what the Pilgrims looked like in Florida.
